STOCKHOLM

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the residence of the king. The capital city is located in the east of the country. A bust of the Baltic Sea surrounds the city with numerous coves and headlands. The Gulf contains about 24,000 islands of different sizes. On 14 of which is the capital of Stockholm. Stockholm is the largest city in Scandinavia and also has the largest technical university in whole Scandinavia. Stockholm has a very important royal university and about 20 universities. The capital, in the literature since the 11th Century mentioned, has many theatres, operas, cultural centres and about 45 museums. In particular, the Stockholm Castle (Kungliga slottet) in the centre of the city and the Vasa Museum in Djurg rden bring much interest.
