Norway, official called The Kingdom of Norway is a central-organized government country in northern Europe. The form of the government of Norway is a parliamentary monarchy. The capital of Norway is Oslo. Norway is divided in19 administrative provinces. The official language in Norway is Norwegian.
There are also regional official languages.
At the end of 2007, the population was just over 4.7 million.
The population of Norway consists about 91% of Norwegians and the rest are foreigners from neighbouring countries, such as Sweden and Denmark.
The rest are coming from: Pakistan, Iraq, Somalia, Poland, Vietnam, Bosnia, Iran, Turkey, Germany and the least from Sri Lanka.

Norway is a Scandinavian country, bordering to the east (north - southerly direction) mainly Sweden. In the north-east of the country its bordering Finland, and Russia, to the south (in the North Sea) to Denmark and west Scotland. Norway also has some islands: The Kingdom of Norway includes, the island group Svalbard in the North Atlantic, and some other islands.
The largest island is the inhabited Hinn ya (2204 square miles) in the north of Norway.

The west coast of the country in the Atlantic consists of numerous narrow and deep bays, the so-called Fjords. This Fjords bring the sea water to the inland region.
Norway is mostly mountains and is often surrounded with barren plateaus in which trees are usually rare. The highest of the 26 surveys, is the Galdh piggen. It is almost 2.5 kilometers high and is located in the Jotunheimen mountains. The largest inland lake from Norway is Mj sa and has a surface area of 365 sq. km. This lake has also Islands. To this lake are flowing rivers. The longest is the Glomma river and is 600 km long. The inland of Norway has high waterfalls and rivers. It is also known that there are many fish in the lakes and seas, and Norway is reputated with fishing.
Norway s climate corresponds to the Scandinavian countries. Only in the West, it is somewhat moist.

Norway always awakened interest among tourists. Because it is not everywhere in Norway barren.
The different regions in the country are also offers very different shades of green and blue. North East of Bergen (in the west of the country) is one of the most famous fjords of Norway. The Geirangerfjord is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is each year visited by many tourists.
There are, among other things, the beautiful city Geiranger and many waterfalls, of which The Seven Sisters is very worth seeing. Famous inGeirangerfjord is the road rneveien, which offers a breathtaking view.

On the Norwegian island Mager ya is the North Cape.
It is a steeply from the ocean towering slate plateau. This is a sharp headland, which is only about 2,100 km away from the North Pole and about 520 km north of the Arctic Circle. Because of this geographical location, there are at the North Cape for about 10 weeks the midnight sun. In winter, however, is about it for 2,5 months dark during the day, too, so that you do not see the sun.

Known sights of Norway are many. But Holmenkollen must be mentioned. The Holmenkollen in the city area of Oslo is world famous. Because in 1952, the Winter Olympic games were held here. This mountain has the best plants of winter sports and it is the most ideal place of the world for the cups and for all Nordic skiing.
